The year five class had a superb morning with Mr Grundy, PE teacher from Robert Smyth School as they undertook their training to be lunchtime leaders. They now have lots of ideas of activities they can run for the younger pupils at lunchtimes, thank you to Mrs Jones for organising the session.

Thank you to all who contributed to the bake sale and to those who made donations for Children In Need. We had some wonderful entries in the Bake Off, well done to Amira who was selected as the winner by the parents who attended worship. Thank you to all who purchased the pin badges made by a grandparent in our school, in total we are delighted to have raised £293.60.

We were very proud of the four pupils who took part in the contest at Robert Smyth Academy this week. Having worked with Mrs Southwood to prepare their poem Le Monstre they then recited the poem to an audience of pupils from other local schools. The children did brilliantly, thank you to Mrs Short for supporting them on the day.

We had the opportunity to meet with the trustees of the Hanbury Charity when we are able to thank them for the significant funds donated to our school over the past year. We are very fortunate to be supported in this way by the charity and in the last year these donations have funded our Taiko drums, new interactive boards and screens as well as many other aspects of our school.
